Speaking to, the TV host shared some of her nifty health tips.

“Well, I do have a few sneaky tricks up my sleeve! For example, when it comes to cooking I take shortcuts where I can."

She maintains that making healthy meals in bulk is a good idea because "that way I can store extras in the freezer to take to work with me."

When quizzed on her most important vital ingredients she uses in her day-to-day life, Obermeder tells the beauty site that she's a huge fan of spinach.

“Spinach! Spinach forms the base for the majority of our smoothies and a lot of our recipes in our books."

But why? Because she explains: "Not only is it rich in iron, [but also] calcium, dietary fibre and all sorts of vitamins. When you blend it into smoothies you can’t even taste it."

Another food she swears by? "Chia seeds.
